Two dollar lunch
February 28, 2006 on 11:02 pm | In News | | Jeremy ReadFor those who don’t allready know it [damn first years] possibly the best chips you can get at Uni are from the Jewel of India. Usually very good chips unlike the cafeteria where I’ve gotten cold, soggy chips with odd hard bits in it before. However what you might not realise is that when they ask you what sauce you want on your chips you can ask them to put the curry sauce on.
Butter chicken chips for $2. Cheapest lunch at uni that’s half decent. [Unless you've got a full subway card].
Only way to top this is to walk to the Munchie Mart and get a royal crown draft cola as well. Which’ll set you back another $2, but you’ll also have a decent drink.
Also worthy of note is that for $4 you can get a medium serving of curry from the Indian place [It's not on the menu], and they’ll swap the rice for chips if you ask nicely.
The Indian place put up it’s prices again! It’s now $5.

$4.30 buys you 2 pieces of something fried and chips at the cafe. That good for a change sometimes but DO NOT buy the sea food platter!!!

Oh yeah you can get Primo for $0.95 from the Munchie Mart. Get 2, and it’s cheaper than a Wave for more.

That and I’d sooner trust my stomach with Primo than Wave.

I’d buy it if they sold that burger at uni

I still like the hot and sour soup. Warms the gut on cold days. Tastes good too.
